How to Backup and Restore using cPanel?

Backup:

  1.    Please Log in to your cPanel.
  2.    Click on “Backup Wizard.”
  3.    Click on the Backup & Select Backup Option.
  4.    Select Backup Destination. ( where you want to save your backup)

This may take a few minutes to generate a tar.gz file that will have all your site, email, database and settings. you can choose partial backup before gnerate full backup system.

Once the backup is created, you can download it using ftp from your account home directory to your local pc

Restore:

  1. Log in to cPanel
  2. Click on “Backup Wizard.”
  3. Click Restore Option
  4. Select Your Restore Type (home directory)
  5. Choose Your Backup  tar.gz  File which you want to Restore
  6. Finally Click Upload Option to Restore Your Backup

This may take a few minutes to upload a tar.gz file and finally your restore complete successfully.
